Family-planning authorities have begun distributing annual sums of about $144 to each parent whose sole offspring was killed in China's May 12 earthquakeSuch subsidies are part of China's one-child policy and therefore not new, but they were largely intended for distribution only when parents reach the age of 60.

Well,  everytime I go to a wedding and the doors open and the bride walks in,and everybody turns to look at her . I look at the groom, i really do, cause I love to see the expression on the groom's face, and in 27 Dresses, Katherine Heigel  does the same thing !! how annoying, well not really. I just thought it was really funny to see it on screen.
I thought it was my thing. :)
The best groom's expression I have ever seen was over this summer  this one wedding whose  I cant obviously say, but his face dropped down and he formed his mouth to say "WOW"!!! Like man I got so lucky kind of expression..LOL !!!!
 it was undoubtedly the cutest and adorable expression ever !!

So, there are days where my ipod plays my absolutest favorite songs one after the other and No I dont have all of them in a playlist already :P it feels like it can sense my  mood, and then roll songs one after the other, yup somedays my ipod is my bestttttttttttttttttttt friend :)

San and me went to MOMA, ate at  SERENDIPITY... yes, from the movies serendipity :) saw victoria beckham on the way out.....
Sunday was family luncheon.. It was so nice seeing everybody !!

So, chilo sleeps every sunday in church and I gently  nudge him..but this it was like the watchman slept... it was so bad, i was holding dads bible and thud it fell down and I felt like the whole church turned and  stared me down, and not for the right reasons, but the reason that happened was because we had gone to watch Jodha Akbar and we came back at 2 am, and I need my  6 hours of sleeeeep, or I can t function. But Jodhaa Akbar  was an lukewarm  movie really.  I have personally never liked Hrithik Roshan, but DAMNNNNNNNNNN, he is smokin in this movie, how can someone look so hott, its unbelievable. I couldnt stop staring at him, and I forgot aishwarya rai completely. One of my favorite scenes, is where is he practicing with his sword, every muscle of his upper body is so clearly defined,and the sucker that I am for upper bodies, i couldnt stop GAWKING !!! and his waist... OMG... I THINK I WOULD WATCH this movie again, so that I can stare at him again... :p
  I think enough of my new hrithik love, but while am at it.. I love the song " in lamhon ke damon"   and "Jashn e bahar"
and our little party, i made crab cakes from SCRATCH !! i mean i pleasantly suprised myself,and that doesnt happen too often :)

 I have these moments, moments that are best defined as " Pearl!! what were you thinking?"  unfortunately I wasn't thinking. I just did and labeled it as being spontaneous, and now spontaneous in retrospect seems  stupid !!!    The past year has been a series of " what was I thinking" moments and  the only take away from it it.. I  will THINK before I speak, before I do, before I promise, Before I accept a DARE !!  

So, excited.. They  are actually republishing the original sex and the city Column by Candace Bushnell, they make a good read especially in a very boring POM class, and if you still bored please watch Jeff Dunham.. especially Achmed the terrorist clip..super hilarious

As a girl, its so important to have some very close Guy friends who you can call and talk about guy problems.When I talk to my girl friends, they will ALWAYS tell me I am right and he was Scum of the earth and about always I am right and justified in doing what I did, but if I speak with a guy, they can basically nail why my problem is a problem and why its all my fault.And, that why I think every girl should have a balanced set of friends...
Happy hour at New deck was funny yesterday, we ordered some crazy drinks and then went to Nirali's had some awesome samosa chaat and danced to  Deewangi from Om  Shanti Om. for almost an hour.. which is such a eeeooow movie  I mean can they  get any more ORIGINAL... a damn reincarnation for GODS sake !! seriously they have made reincarnation kind of movies only 78297387 times !!  And this is supposed to be the BEST Movie of the year !! Thank god for technology sometimes because I was able to see 15  minutes of this movie online and decided any more time into this I would be very depressed. Cant wait for thanksgiving:) so many things to be thank ful more and a month more for India.. Its going to be crazy fun times.. Dilli, Bangalore and Mumbai and New years in Mumbai with San and Nirali.. cant wait !!!

because I dont care about a Wall street job anymore...if its meant to be,it will be and no its not called being an ESCAPIST !!  I am going to hustle as much as I can, but when somethings arent meant to be,they wont be...
Because India trip is less than a month away :)
Because  Im finally secretary of Drexel Economics Society, and no its not an AVYEEN society!! LOL
Because my paper is going to be published soon..
Because Hills is going on an extended period
Because  I met/talked to such fabulous humble people while networking, gave me such a fresh prespective to life.
Because I am finally at peace with myself
Because I still love New York, I went there this week and I wasnt overwhelmed at all. I loved the hustle bustle and the alum confirmed that this is the best city to live in
Because I liked Saawariya :) I think  I was the only person in the whole world who did so and no  it wasnt about Ranbir's bare butt, his awesome chest, mebbe :p

So GS is not on 80th broad street,its on 85th Broad street and  my bubble burst !!  when I told  Shantanu of how my bubble burst he  said atlast you see the light of the day... I guess yeah..  My affair with GS has finally come to an end and now I dont care of where I work .. no really , I dont.. As long as I am challenged  everyday and I can learn new things  I will be satisfied and a decent paycheck would not hurt either
